都是些常规问题，准备写封thanks letter, 有必要再强调一下自己的背景match吗？这
么写合适吗？

是research型的还是teaching school?
我每次thank you letter只是感谢一下，然后提及一下期待进一步的了解，就ok了，呵
呵。

是research型都学校
不知道这么强调一下背景match好不好

我觉得你的英文写作提高的空间还很大。你完全可以google一个模版，改改的，不容易
出错。一时有感，请见谅。

this opening very (尽力回避使用very) ) well, （句号，另起一句） will be a
valuable addition to the existing strong research (research strength) areas
of your department, and also can inspire a lot of (尽力回避使用a lot of)
collaborations.
