About the Job
Aerospace R&D Company seeks mechanical / aerospace engineer to be
responsible for the development of new liquid propulsion components and
systems to support current and future R&D programs.
The Company is looking for dynamic, self-starting individuals who thrive in
an entrepreneurial environment, and have the potential to become significant
contributors to the overall direction and success of the projects. Salary
is attractive and commensurate with experience; additional performance-based
benefits / profit sharing are also available. A full benefits package is
included. US citizenship is required.
Primary job functions will include:
Initial sizing and conceptual design.
Fluid / thermal analysis.
Detailed drawings through release drawings using SolidWorks.
Vendor selection / oversight.
Writing test plans.
Acceptance testing and system integration.
Conducting design and data reviews.
Maintaining cost and schedule targets.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or
related) with emphasis on fluid / thermal sciences.
At lease 3 years experience in mechanical / aerospace R&D environments.
Demonstrated experience with propulsion systems (university or industry
level).
Experience with SolidWorks, Matlab and LabView.
