Job Description Summary
Responsible for planning and coordination concerning data analysis and
review and benchmarking of related processes and results of the job function
. Participates in the development of analytical tools and solutions to
support related Risk and business line functions. Responsible for managing
and adhering to set deliverable timelines and aiding in the development of
related documentation. Responsible for providing an appropriate level of
support to business line counterparts, Risk personnel, and model development
team members to deliver data, infrastructure, and reporting required for
regulatory and other compliance.
Essential Job Functions
Design and execute test and production data extraction and analysis
utilizing the department's various computer software packages within
established deadlines.
Create, prepare, and document (or aid in the documentation) of detailed
specifications of the computer code/programs utilized to extract, transform
and load data. Includes: creation and use of documents to facilitate
requests and data integrity verification within the group and throughout the
Bank.
Analyze and recommend business, technology, and process improvement and
automation opportunities.
Interpret and fulfill data and analytical requests.
Partner with various business lines to perform data analysis as applicable
to support ongoing projects.
Obtain working knowledge of the Bank’s portfolios to aid in the
interpretation of data and issues and to determine appropriate processing
methods.
Follow proper versioning protocols and change control and notification
procedures.
Other Job Duties
Works effectively as a team member with others at the Bank, as well as with
external consultants.
Keeps abreast with developments in quantitative risk management and industry
best practices in risk quantification and reporting.
Works effectively either independently or as part of a team.
Manages time and resources in a dynamic multi-task environment.
Provides technical assistance to others.
Plans, conducts, and supervises small, short-term projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced
education combined with experience.
Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor's Degree IS, Computer Science, or a related field
Skills
Ability to solve complex analytical and data integrity problems while
prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
Experience in building relational data structures, including relationships
between tables and grouping data.
Technical skills to manipulate and analyze data in a variety of formats (e.g.
SAS, SQL, Access, JCL) Audit & Inspection Background in Internal audit, risk
management, and/or banking Administers continuous monitoring/auditing
procedures.
Partners with Audit teams to perform data analysis Prior hands-on working
experience with developing reports, structuring queries, and data
architecture.
Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, planning and organizing and
initiative.
Highly self-motivated, results oriented and capable of independent and
critical thinking.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
