说是来开会，为赶PAPER蹲在HOTEL里工作了一下午。苦命也。明天才真正开始忙，从
早到晚排满节目。
今天中午AL GORE的TALK 还不错。GORE也是苦命人，空有才学和抱负，怎奈面相稍
欠霸气，中了小BUSH的套。FUNNY今天GORE的开场白中自我介绍道：I'am Al Gore,
you know, used to be the next President of the United States。几千会众顿
时起身鼓掌，场面颇为壮观。虽有成则王、败则寇的说法，但在今天的AGU会场里，
GORE严然就是个PRESIDENT。

al gore's opening line is too old. the same words found in the global
warming video in youtube like a year ago? he is still talking about global
warming, right?speaking of this issue, what do you guys think about this
research topic? is it gonna be hot and grand affulent in the next few
decades?

Global Warming几年前很热。记得当时关于变暖趋势有很多争论，
NASA也因此投了很多钱搞Carbon Sequestration等等。

GLOBAL WARMING是很广的一个TOPIC。有的做观测，收集数据，证明WARMING是证据确
凿的事实；有的做NUMERICAL MODELING，预测未来的WARMING的方方面面细节；也有
的做理论应用或是DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS，洞悉CLIMATE SYSTEM的各种MECHANISM对
WARMING的放大或缩小(即所谓的CLIMATE FEEDBACKS)；还有的做GLOBAL WARMING的
SOCIAL/ECONOMIC IMPACT。以上算是SCIENCE ORIENTED 的分支，ENGINEERING方面
的DISCIPLINES可能就更多了(好象你提到的CARBON SEQUESTRATION)。具体那个更
PROMISING不
好讲，要看个人兴趣和机遇。跟对有前途的GROUP也很重要。
