Computer Science is different from Computer Engineering. Some school has CE program in EE, such as Princeton's CE is actually in EE, CMU's ECE, Berkeley's ECE. Some school has CE program in CS department, such as UW's CSE, Penn State CSE. US News does not have a new ranking for CS. ranking in 2002 please see my previous post, Brown is No.14 in CS, but not that strong in CE.
I don't think so. In most of the engineering schools of major research universties, there is no seprate ECE or CSE department. Most of them just have EE department and CS department. But they also have been ranked at CE ranking..., such as MIT,Stanford etc. Where their CE faculty come from? EE department or CS department? they are from CS department. One thing interesting: Galtech ranked 11th in 2004 but I can not find its rank in 2005?
