已经拿到系里的正式OFFER LETTER，并且系里告诉我录取决定已经报到研究生院了，让我
等研究生院的进一步通知。我不太明白的是，我是现在就应该告诉现在学校的ISSS我要转
学了，让他们在一个特定的时候RELEASE我的信息(我暑假还会在现在的学校)，还是等要
去的学校研究生院通知我了，再去找ISSS办RELEASE。
如有知情者请不吝赐教。谢谢。

check some early posts. Basically, your ISO just enter some information in the
sevis saying that you will be transferred out on some certain day. When that
day comes, you are out. and they can not get your info any more. Before that,
you can still retrieve your request, I guess.

I am in the same situation as you.
I received the release form but not the admission letter from grad school yet.
Usually, it is just a routine in getting the ad letter I think. So, either
way, you should be fine. But the problem is : How to choose a release date?

Do you mean that you receive the release form from the school you will attend?
If yes, is it from Graduate School or from the department? I originally assume
that I should find the release form in the ISSS office in my current
university.
For my case, I received the admission letter from department, but no
information from the Graduate School at all.

Call them. Sometime they just forgot. You can also get a release form from
your current school. But to be on the safe side, call the graduate school.
