我申请过美国一所大学，现在不想去了。
从申请到现在，那里的未来导师（中国人）帮了不少忙。I-20的表也来了，offer有电子
邮件的，也有书面的。我已经用电子邮件答复接受offer，下一步就是准备签证了。
如果现在写信说不去了，对老师的心情打击事小，我担心会不会算作不守信用，在那里留
下所谓“不良纪录”啊？
（撒谎说签证被拒绝？更不合适吧？）
大家都是怎么做的？请过来人赐教，谢谢！

It will not affect your admission, but it will definitely affect the admission
of the furture chinese students.

Then just tell the truth. They should understand.
You should tell them as early as possible.

You are entitled to do so. I would suggest you to email the prof. you have
been contacting and be staightforward.
Being together with your wife/hus is definitely a legitimate excuse.
