I requested COS from H1B to F1 before being laid off. By the end of
registration deadline, my case was still not approved. So I deferred my
admission to the next semester and submitted a new I-20 to USCIS for
processing. My case was approved yesterday. Should I leave US immediately,
get visa stamped and reenter US before April? Can I go to Mexico or Canada
for visa stamping? Thank

when is the begining date on the new I-94 in the bottom of the I797A you
received from USCIS?

I just got I-797A and I-94. The begining date on the I-94 is Feb 09 2009
and the starting date on the I-20 is April 06 2009. In this case, do I need
to start class immediately? (I already missed registration deadline for
this semester)
