各位有没有消息？
我11月初替妈妈提交的B2延期申请，到现在还没有消息。每天去网上查status都是
initial review。心急如焚哪，妈妈的94还有十天就过期了。
她这是第一次来美，爸爸去年因为工作不能和她一起来。就打算了1月来，在美国过完
年回去，所以给妈妈申请了延期。不知道延期批准的几率大不大，还等着消息买票改票
呢，急！

起薪8万五，用了五年时间，工资涨到9万9。后来换工作，来到南方，下一个五年，薪
水从10万涨到30万。看来真是树挪死，人挪活。不要抨我只看到钱，可以居家过日子，
谁不指望这个呢。

Oil & gas is a tough business. it suppose to be commodity but the price
never follow the supply & demand rules(I still believe it is manipulated by
human factor ) . it is well paid industrial for sure, but also depends on
whether you are on top of the food chain or on top of the company ladder. i
have been giving lots of suggestion to the folks want to get in this
industry. if you are ME, PE .etc. as core discipline, O&G can be good one ,
but if you are in finance, supplychain,.. keep away from here.

Very true.
我觉得make people know you, like you and trust you应该放第一，work hard只能
排第二。
老中大都是high performance machine，personality，价值观，情商，个人修养上面
则欠缺太多。有的时候一个PhD开口说话人家一听，怎么和一个没受过教育的混混一样。

lots of folks on MITBBS sent me PM for the experience. I will be to provide
some personal expereince and I wish I would be able to help. I do not
consider I am successful guy but I am happy with where I am now.
For most of the folks in the office, we need answer three questions first:
what do you want to do , what job are you good at, what job are you paid to
do. For most of us, if there are 2 of 3 are the same, you are lucky man.
Once you are clear on that, do a SWOT analysis for you and see whether you
still have a chance to get at least 2 of 3 aligned. if not, then you need
change the job.

我觉得make people know you, like you and trust you应该放第一，work hard只能
