也许下一代会用。
Apple Watch肯定要用了。
但是Apple Watch也只有中端和高端用
估计销售量上低，中，高比例为：
100:10:1
所以GTAT也没法在Apple Watch上赚够回本。

破产保护不是破产
应该是因为没能达到苹果提出的指标，所以投资暂时收不回来，需要破产保护，然后提
高产能、质量之后苹果才会下订单。

By they I mean the stock invespeculators. The fact has always been GTAT, or
anyone for that matter, does not have a low cost Sapphire manufacturing
process that can compete against incumbent materials. The cost benefit ratio
just doesn't add up.

constraint被要求还本金而导致现金不够,而不是真的没有cash和asset。
在这种较优质破产中一般来说senior debt holder不会有太大损失，junior debt
holder可能会同意损失一部分或强制转换成高风险的equity holder，最惨的是现在的
equity holder，很可能要被wipe out或分点残渣，就算破产重组后的企业业绩很好也
不关他们事了
这就是为什么今天股价跌到1块钱

There are other sapphire makers so for Apple Watch it won't be an issue. The
sapphire versions will be very expensive so it doesn't matter if the
sapphire might be a bit more expensive than GTAT.
Also, Apple kind of "own" the Arizona plant it seems.

GTAT intended to close plants in AZ and MA, which means they intended to get
out of sapphire making business, and wanted to get rid of contract with
Apple through Chap. 11 process.
I am sure there will be sapphire makers who are willing to try their luck
with Apple, but given the recent drama, how many of them are willing to make
capital investment will be interesting. Not sure the existing manufacture
capability is enough, and to spread to multiple vendors at the first release
is a nightmare. Apple own the AZ plant land, not sure if it own the
furnaces etc. Even if it does, manufacturing equipment without material
composition and process does not mean that much. Not to mention, those
bigger new furnaces in AZ plant got GTAT into trouble at the first place. I
am sure GTAT is willing to sell anyone their old model small furnace though.
