faculty第一轮电面都会问什么问题？本人只对industry的电面有经验，还从没面过
faculty职位，这次投的是南边的一个不大的学校，虽说庙小，里面的人phd毕业的学校
都还不错，拿和我一样都是理科毕业的人来说，都是什么rice, uc,santa barbara, u
of wahsington毕业的phd。第一轮电面的时间已经确定了，要持续20分钟，和4个
search committee members谈，一个人谈5分钟，不知道他们都会谈什么，上来问问大
家，我学统计的说。谢谢！

不overclock的，$50与$150的主板
对于同CPU的性能来说，都没有区别
而为了overclock而去买昂贵的主板
其实cpu的分数最多大概增加10%左右
而且还是冒着烧坏CPU的风险，还有花高价购买高性能冷却系统
大家可以看看overclock后cpu的分数，其实性能提高不大

当然了，对于装server和装AMD 200W以上的火炉CPU来说，那就另说了。

Did you every burn a cpu before? unless you go with insanely high volt or
extremely poor cooling, there is no chance you can burn it.
Also, the chart you are giving is misleading, obviously more cores leads to
higher score in this chart. The performance of CPU is almost linear to it's
freq however is held back by some other device, like gfx card or hard drive
for user experience.
I do agree with you that overclocking is not helping too much for daily use.
But not for the reason you mentioned. I think it's all because CPU nowadays
are overpowered. Therefore 1.3x or 1.5x CPU freq doesn't helping a lot in
games or daily use, except for computation.
