悲剧贴见 http://www.mitbbs.com/article_t1/JobHunting/31837123_0_1.html 面得是加州的小consulting firm。我背景是数学 一面:on campus,两人。 business组:大概都是behavior:what do you think about leadership, what do you think about teamwork, what do you see youself in 5 years, why consulting , why this firm analytical组:条件概率,logistical regression。一间银行的房子,不知市价,如 何估算 on-site: presentation,面了3个人 (1)小case study,如何确定信用卡会不会变成呆账。 如何判定信用卡被盗 (2)几个简单的概率。很多人排队,然后依次问生日。第一个和前面的人重复生日的 有奖金。问排在第几个最好 (3) 几个小case,不记得了。 悲剧了,希望这些对大家有用。 还不知道下个面试在哪里,只能继续努力了。

之前在outlet上买过thinkpad yoga,买回来发现电源和电源线接口不匹配,然后打电 话后又寄了一条过来。 这次买了个thinkpad T440s,打开,我靠,屏幕右上角一大块黑块,平时大家看到的 dead pixel都是一个点,这次这个一个硬币那么大。联想发货都不测试一下么??? 话说现在win本越来越难买了,用过sp3,实在不习惯。难道win阵营就没有像mac一样做 工好价格厚道的么。

I used a difference equation and obtained the same result. P(you win) = (1-P(你的生日跟前n-1个人不同)*P(No . n-1 guy didn't win)*P(No n -2 guy didn't win) ... we want to maximize P(you win). after plotting the function in MathCAD, it showed that P's max value occurs at n=20.
