No, you can't use the same photo as passport one from what I learnt.
The opt application rules specifically requires your photo taken within 1
month of application. If you simply submit the passport photo, USCIS would
immediately recognize it is not the recent one and reject your application.

我不明白为啥买买提总有用英文回复别且一写写一长串，没中文输入法弄个云输入法写
完再粘过来不行么？这些人都什么心态？
另外，LZ只要你的照片移民局认不出来是旧的就行，我就用的当年visa照片，没任何问
题

Yes, that is what I mean.
I am telling this because the IPS advisor in my school especially reminds me
that there were cases rejecting people due to using the old photo as
passport.
You can take the chance with old photo and get through, but why not simply
take a recent photo without any potential concern.

可是最近的visa不是也要交上去么，visa都过期了
算了，还是自己去照一照。
