I have a x1 yoga (gen1) and a surface book (gen1) (both for work), before I bought the yoga, I used a x1c for about a year before it was stolen. the surface book has a beefy GPU and CPU. but it can not turn the screen flat or flip (unless you detach the tablet and flip by hand). I found this quite annoying. yoga can do a 360 flip, and x1c can do a 180 flip. surface can be used as a tablet, which is a plus (unfortunately I have to attach the keyboard for serious use). the surfacebook has a more premium build and finish, but feels slightly heavier. to me, the trackpoints on the x1c and x1yoga are the main reason attacking me to thinkpads. have been a thinkpad user since my first laptop (T21, ordered on the day of 911)
