上次我发了帖,但还是没搞清楚应该怎么办.
我现在拿的是H1B签证,明年5月底到期,但公司方面是准备帮忙继续延H1B的,并且有计划
明年1月份帮我申请EB2.但是男朋友前两天和我求婚了,男朋友是美国公民,白人.所以我
打算直接申请婚姻绿卡,因为我们会明年回中国办婚礼,所以我不想等EB2了.和男朋友家
里谈过,结婚后得按家族传统改姓夫家的姓.
我们的婚礼订在明年3-4月份举行.我在加州,问过了,加州的婚姻法是规定marriage
license 90天有效的,所以按日子推算,我们会在明年1-2月份领license.我一个姐妹最
近也在办婚姻绿卡,她告诉我拿到license不必要等到certificate就可以开始办临时绿
卡了.所以我是打算明年1月份左右开始做所有的paperwork.但我姐妹不改姓,所以她的
情况比我简单很多.
我现在很混乱,我要同时改名字和申请绿卡,实在不清楚应该怎么做.
真诚向版上的达人求教具体怎么操作.或者如果你有可以推荐的律师,请告诉我一下,我
实在自己做不来就要找律师帮忙了.

you will get a temporary marriage cert on the day you marry. official
marriage cert will come later. the temp marriage cert can be used to apply
green card. show the official marriage cert at the green card interview.
when u guys marry, you can request to change name on the day of marry. new
name will show on your marriage cert, at the bottom, not the bride info
column.
update your new name with official marriage cert, which you will get later,
to apply new SSN card, then with your marriage cert and new SSN card to
change name on your driver's license, etc.

因为我们要回国办婚礼,所以我得先申请绿卡,拿到旅行证了才能出美国.用temp
marriage cert申请了绿卡,旅行证上是我新的名字还是我旧的名字?
