(1)You can file I140 first, and do j1 waiver at the sametime,
(2) Then you file i485 as your wife got the j1 waiver.

your spouse will need to get the waiver before submit I-485 to adjust his/
her status from Non-immigration to immigration visa.

我对整个流程一点概念没有
从开始准备到递485一般多久？
J1 wavier是不是要J1开始一年以后才可以办？一办要办半年才能拿到？

You will need to be J1 for 12 months to start your J1 waiver. Go to Postdoc
forum, they have a lot of detail information about how to apply for J1
waiver. J1 waiver normally takes 4-6 months.
