大家知道 EB1类的推荐信肯定需要outstanding,extraordinary, on the top, small
percentage这些关键词。怎样避免推荐人将这些关键词改掉？有多少推荐人将这些关键
词给改掉的？
1）告诉推荐人，这些词是申请这类绿卡必须的，所以请不要改。这样推荐信是不是感
觉不舒服？
2）不告诉推荐人，这样就有可能签字回来的推荐信不能用。浪费一个名额，找推荐人
不容易。呵呵
大家都是怎么做的？

Be frank and modest. You just told them that there are some fancy words in the draft recommendation letter. These fancy words may be improper. They are just for the immigration purpose and will never be used for academic purpose.
After you frankly mention this, those experts can understand your meaning and will not make changes to your letter.

把关键句子放在paragraph的当中，最后，以及事实的后面。这样修改的机会小点。不
要放在开头，太耀眼。
同时说明，很遗憾，律师吹嘘了很多，我也觉得惭愧，不过这是必须的。

给推荐人的信里面，要humble一下，强调下别人的帮助和teamwork，毕竟信里是写的天
花乱坠，人家说你纯粹是夸张或者自吹自擂也不为过。推荐人明白你的意思就好了。
我是这么写的
Attached is the draft prepared by my lawyer and me. Please revise the
letter as you think appropriate. The draft emphasizes my individual
outstanding research contributions in specifics that can distinguish myself
from other researchers in the field, which is the US immigration officer
looks for. However, I have no intention to conceal the facts of teamwork and
directions from Dr. XXX and Dr. XXX. Without their help, I would not have
had done any piece of my phd research achievements. I highly appreciate your
understanding.

我按照上面的的模板给推荐人写了封信，他是这么安慰我的：
“Don’t worry...I do about 25 of these per year and I understand the “
overstatements” component....best wishes...."
我们是不是多虑了？我们是不是也搞个推荐人的数据库啊？
