看到大家讨论140，485同时交的问题，我也来问一问。不过不是同时交，因为140已经
交了。但是如果在140批下来之前，把485交上去，有意义吗？毕竟不算是同时交的，但
是又比接到140批准通知再交要早，会对485的速度有帮助吗？
请指教！

如果不是PP，先交485当然可以省很多时间。

没有I140 approval notice, 单独递了485的话应该会deny485，说priority date
is not current.

错！EB1任何时候都可以递485，我周围刚有两位例子，已经批了。

EB1 PD has always been current since late 2007.

EB1的485只能要么和140一起递，要么等140批了拿到approval notice再递。没有
aproval notice就递485，自己愿意take risk的话别怪我没提醒

如果他们是在140没批的时候单独递的485，只能说他们很lucky

not really。
这个根本不算risk，不少例子都是这么干的。如果你曾经见过有问题的，那只能是
USCIS的问题了。

It also said in the following paragraph
"Note:.....to ensure your priority date is current before you file your
application."
没有Approval notice, 只有receipt for acceptance, acceptance 上只有RD,而PD 是
空白的。因此，485 有可能被deny,说你的PD is not current.
So it is risky. Am I explain enough?

thanks for all the discussion and sharing, I will double check with the
company attorney and provide his feedback.
btw, if this is really doable, that means it is never necessary to co-file
140 & 485 physically at the same time. one can just get 140 ready and file
it first, to save some time, then prepare for 485 and file it before the 140
notice. hope this can help ppl to better schedule their progress.
