其他专业也一样。除非是做faculty的，大部分人PhD后的工作内容跟PhD期间的
research关系都不大。这个是美国PhD program的普遍问题，不是某个专业或者公司的
问题。

当年我们学校校园招聘很多公司不要PHD.被歧视啊. 呵呵.

我这个季度把electronics放到5%的catetory那了，上面显示newegg.com也包括，但去

我也是想说为保险起见，先140，等批了再两人一起申485。刚听一人说了另外一个办法
，就是140和485一起递，让我LD申请EAD。据说是找工作的时候EAD比OPT好些，可能用
人单位会觉得稳定些吧。然后就是说一起递到话回国travel什么的会方便些。但我们倒
不是很急着回国什么的。我比较担心的是，万一我的140没批，LD申请的EAD是不是就无
效了？？

这是撞到枪口了啊
但是大部分phd都不是做算法的。。。
都是用些其他地方的数学知识比如统计 优化 概率
来做一些cs的问题

Everything involves risk. For an org existing for 8+ years with 1% default
rate and borrowers spreadout around the world, I will gladly take the risk
for 15% annual return.
Of course I will make sure I can afford to lose my entire portfolio. Even in
the unlikely event that I take a big loss, I will be able to recover a big
chunk by writing off my tax.

算法是很大一个概念。就像上面说的，还是有很多人是做数学模型，概率统计模型的算
法。那个是软算法，因为不同人都可以提出不同的模型，引入不同的参数。很难有统一
标准。
硬算法，指传统CS研究的离散问题。

上来更新一下吧，有人抱怨用英文，就敲中文吧。
我是两周前电话申请的，客服很热心，聊得很开心，立刻通过了。大概十多天后收到三
个信封（有点慢），其中一个小册子上有两处写着类似unlimited cashback等字样，今
天又和客服确认了一下是的（心里暗爽了一下）。信用额度7700，网上账户可用额度显
示--。
但是今天为什么要给客服打电话呢，是因为我发现卡上的名字以及网上账户里的名字有
一个字母拼错了。。。上周末写了封邮件，没人回复；所以打电话做个name
correction。客服确认了地址等信息之后，说新卡会寄出，系统里的名字应该也会自动
改正。
本来还想让LP申请一张，可惜有了2000刀的cap了，先用一段时间再说吧。
