You are asking two questions here:
Re: review的证明一定要主编写吗？associate不行？
Associate editors' letters are fine.

The EICs are often getting such requests, and they are often nice to give
out such letters. You should definitely ask them first, and then if they
don't respond or suggest you to contact the editors who sent you the
invitation, then you ask the associate editors.
