客服不是万能的，很多时候都不如版上的警察

I had the original blue cash card, and can clarify some of the questions
here.
1. The $6500 reset is on the 12 bill cycles (what AE calls reward year), not

Not really using it even after the bluebird era.
Because the very low cash back for the first $6500, that is opportunity cost
loss of over $60 first, not even counting the $3.95-$4.95 per $500
manufacture spending cost. So, you have to overcome at least $120 cost
before you can start reaping the 5%.

I had the original blue cash card, and can clarify some of the questions
here.
1. The $6500 reset is on the 12 bill cycles (what AE calls reward year), not
on the calendar year. So if you have just got the card, you will clear $
6500 till next October.
2. The term of the everyday purchase excludes prepaid card purchase. However
, in my experience with vanilla purchases at CVS, I would usually get the 5%
cash back. There were probably two transactions that only got 1%. I don't
want to draw attention from AE, so I did not bother to call them to clarify
the transaction category. Most of the time I would mix the vanilla cards
with some other small item purchases.
Bottom line, if you use MS a lot, this card can be great since it does not
have upper cap after the $6500 spend. However, as many have suggested, you
need to be carefully with your spending.
