I saw another post asking about the possibility to get checked when applying
for an H1 visa, and I am reminded of this question.
Do you think that the history of being checked when applying for a visa
helps the name-check (with shorter time) in 485 application? Since FBI is
involved in both of them, and perhaps they have some record to share? Does
anyone have any experience in that?

我觉得不会啊。常理瞎推断，
1. IO懒，缺啥会要求你补啥，让他自己主动查怕是没动力
2. 多近的日期算近呢？name check是和犯罪记录相关的，这个记录可以发生在
visa check 和 name check之间的任何时候

皮匠的blog上说如果120天内做过的话，FBI一般不会另做，长的话估计就不行了。

胡猜的。其实真快估计也快不了多久，索性随他去得了。。

Thank you, I see.
I heard that the visa check may be good for the next visa application within
3 years, but I guess that that time-line does not apply here.
Also, indeed, there are many random factors in USCIS. Let's hope that we all
get our green cards soon!
