律师起草的推荐信有这句话，不知道好不好，“It is true that Dr.xxx solicited
this letter. However, I do not know him personally and ...”

看起来不太好，不主张用这样的句子。一定想法改掉，如果不能改掉的话，就别用这封
推荐信了。有好多推荐信写得比这个更strong 的都悲剧了，你留着这句话，很容易被
IO 揪住不放。

谢谢，看起来还是得跟律师商量把前半句去掉，真不明白她为什么要加那半句话

please do not ask attorney to draft the letter, most likely will be at low
quality. Instead, you should draft yourself and ask for proofing from
attorney Because you know yourself the best.

没办法，学校指定的律师，尽管还没交钱，也不好换。

This is a very bad letter that he/she drafted. 学校指定的律师 usually sucks
terribly.
Good referees will write something like:
Dr. XXX's work clearly stands out in the field. ...
Perhaps the strongest evidence regarding the importance of Dr. XXX's work is
that we have cited Dr. XXX's papers and based our study on Dr. XXX's
research findings. ...
to demonstrate that it is your great work that has resulted in your world-
wide recognition and fame.
