现在每篇文章打了首页、引用页和文献页，发现有400多页。会不会太厚，而且有必要

可以选择一些打印，highlight the citation of your publication，authors,
universities, countries, etc in the prints.这样你可以在petition letter中
refer to those printed citations. 比如说，20个国家,30个著名大学引用你的文章.
