Austin, TX的小公司，目前大约80人，年底计划扩张到120人。Research部门还有3个名
额，希望有至少一个senior。要有一定的data mining, machine learning和
statistical modeling的背景，Shell和Perl/Python coding，至少精通一门
programming language吧。SQL比较熟，较好的data manipulation和data integration
的经验。了解big data和distributed computing。
公司可能不愿意等太久，所以希望能尽快入职。H1-B没问题。目前投简历的绝大部分都
是阿三，希望能多几个中国人。公司环境不错，绝大部份人都比较nice，待遇也还行（
当然不能和湾区大公司比）。

The data scientist will work with large online advertising data sets to find
patterns using statistical data mining and machine learning methods. The
scientist will proactively provide data-driven answers to clients’ business
questions (e.g., about advertising campaign effectiveness and optimization)
. The scientist will collaborate with product development team to turn
prototypes into product, and with client services team to effectively
address clients’ data analytics questions and requests.
Responsibilities Include:
Researching new techniques for improving online advertising campaigns.
Prototyping data-driven predictive models and data analysis products.
Understanding business questions and formulating data analysis and modeling
problems.
Communicating data analysis and modeling results effectively to clients.
Required Skills:
MS or PhD in data mining, machine learning, statistics, business analytics,
or a related field.
Proficient in understanding and mapping business data analytics problems to
solvable data modeling problems.
Experience with business data analysis, predictive modeling, including model
development, validation, and comparison.
Experience with SQL programming and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python,
Shell, etc).
Excellent problem solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Additional Skills:
Experience working with large data sets (e.g., at least millions of records).
Familiarity with online advertising.
Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
Able to work without close supervision.
