I'm preparing for RFE material, regarding the item of "contribution".
I requested for several extra recommendation letters and one of them is from
a journal editor. My package is complete except for the letter from the
editor. Should I wait or submit the package without the letter.
BTW, I got two more letters already, but one of them is a secondary
supporting letter from my boss.

It helps but it not mandatory. Plus it is sometimes not easy to get a strong
letter from the editor unless you have some connection or the editor is
extremely nice. The purpose is to support your top percentage and
outstanding nature of applicant. If you have one, good for you. If you don't
have one, don't beat yourself too hard on that and just go with it. My two
cents.

This editor showed some interest about the paper I submitted to his journal
and that paper is among the top downloaded. He is indeed a nice person but
he is on vacation.

gold没年费？只是第一年没有而已，everyday可是永远都没有。
