Hi big vows,
I am seeking your help with my H1-B transfer questions.
I am currently on non-cap H1-B visa, and my current contract ends 5/31. I
have a new job offer which will start at the end of August. I will request
H1-B transfer (from non-cap to non-cap) before 5/31. I wonder what my status
will be from May to August? Do I have legal status even though at this time
period I will not have any paycheck? Am I required to leave US before I
start the new job?
Please give me some suggestions. I appreciate your help!

在别的地方看来的，仅供参考
和你的下家或现在的老板商量弄个unpaid leave
把结束的时间推迟或者开始时间提前
时间不要有gap.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Does that mean as long as the first employer does not revoke H1-B, there
will be no gap between these two jobs?

When will your current H1B expire (not the contract)?
My previous work place didn't revoke my H1B after I terminated the contract
around 20 days earlier. So my status history looks fine.

The current employer petitioned for three years, so in the card the H1-B
will not expire until 2015.
