一个副主编基本按照我的draft写了support letter，重要字眼如下，看上去还不错，
top一类的词都有了。大家看看如何。他问了几个问题，(1) what the address he
should use in the letterhead, (2) whether he should attach a copy of his
updated biosketch, and (3) how he should send it to me, like signatures...?
还有一个重要问题，他说对我的研究很熟悉，他对我还没发表的工作评价说是
breakthrough...因为我给过他一个将要举行的conference的oral presentation
abstract （publicly available online），和几个还没submit的paper drafts'
titles。这个会不会有问题？IO会不会奇怪他怎么能知道还没发表的工作是break
through？有没有必要加上他怎么认识我--但其实我都没见过他，纯邀请审稿而已，虽
然他跟我们老板很熟。大家给点建议吧！比较急，他说就这两天告诉他怎么弄。
I am writing this letter to support Dr. XXX's petition for US permanent
residence as an extraordinary researcher in the field of XXX, in my capacity
as an associate editor of XXX and an expert in the field of XXX.
I am Professor with tenure in Department of XX at University of XXX. I
obtained my Ph.D. ....他的一段个人简介，但里面提到了比我强很多的职务和review
经历，以及more than 100 publications!
I am familiar with Dr. XX’s scientific work, and find it to be exceptional.
His most recent work, including presentations at the forthcoming annual
meeting of the XX conference and manuscripts soon to be submitted for
publication, are of the highest quality and represent breakthroughs in XXX
methodologies and insights.
介绍journal... To maintain its high quality, one of the most important
duties of an editor is to choose reviewers of the highest caliber. It is
these expert reviewers who point out inferior manuscripts or who offer the
needed advice that will allow authors to revise their manuscripts till they
are acceptable for publication.
Selection of reviewers is based on their high standing at the top of the
field of XXX, and the international acclaim that they have achieved due to
their outstanding works. Dr. XX is among the small percentage of individuals
who have risen to the very top of this field, and has published high
quality research articles in renowned XXX research journals. Because of his
exceptionally broad understanding in XXX techniques and XXX, Dr. XXX has
been called upon XXX times to review manuscripts submitted by researchers
from North America, Europe, and Asia, in the last one year and a half. He
provided timely and insightful reviews of the assigned manuscripts, and his
review service allowed the authors of the manuscripts to improve the quality
of their research work prior to publication, and thereby protected and
enhanced the reputation of the journal. Dr. XX’s evaluations were essential
for making the final decision about publication.
I believe that Dr. XXX has great breadth and depth of knowledge in XXX

为真正的推荐信。能用吗？

1.该杂志简介
2.该杂志筛选reviewer的标准
3.你是否在editor board上
4.在该杂志你审了多少篇稿子
5.你的审稿质量（这时可以吹一下你）
最后别忘了加一句“他们为拥有你这样的reviewer而高兴”

证明我审稿，因为有每次invitation和thankyou email证据。
