我老婆本科时候2008年曾经以J1身份来美国交流一年，应该是自费的，没拿国家钱。大
概是六年以前，后来回国不到两年（差三四个月），本科毕业以后又申请F1身份出国读
研究生，现在是F1 OPT。现在我打算申请EB1A绿卡，她是以配偶身份以前申请，以前的
J1历史会不会影响绿卡申请，要不要回国办豁免？谢谢！
她六年前的DS2019表也都丢了，很久以前的事情很多东西都没有了。
我现在算了一下，我老婆大概在国内带了一共一年11个月，（加上几个寒暑假回国）差
一个多月，是办豁免，还是等I140批了以后回国玩两个月再回来呢？

She needs to find all of your record back, coz she need these materials when
submitting I-485.
She should get back the original DS-2019 form number to consult DOS to see
whether this J1 needs to be waived or not. There is a possibility that the
J1 did not apple to 2-year home residence requirement.
The 2-year home residency means the period from the date you come back China
with the ending of previous DS-2019 to the date you come into US custom
with your new visa is no less then 2 years. I don't think these winter and
summer holiday can be counted into your 2-year program.
