I subscribed to a few mail lists (eg. python, R), which are quite hot, and
soon my Yahoo inbox gets nearly 50,000 messages.
If I configure my mailbox to display 200 messages a page, and dump the
messages page by page, I need to repeat 250 times.
So, I am wondering if there is a good way to erase them all at once.

can't you configure your mail lists so that they only send you a daily summa
ry instead of individual message?

I certainly could have done that.
But now that I have nearly 50,000 messages in my inbox, how do I remove all
of them more efficiently?

gmail had the same problem before, but supports that now. i would imagine
that yahoo will copy that feature pretty soon too

Ha, that's cool! I actually thought about POP3 all messages to my local com
puter, but thought that Yahoo did not support POP3. This looks like my solu
tion! Thx.

gmail only gives you an option to dump the trash or junk box all at once. y
ou will have the same problem with the inbox, don't you?
