Just found that using VPN (for security) + windows remotedesktop to connect
to my office win machine can actually make browsing much faster than directly
using the cable ISP service to browsing the internet:)

Yes, this is true for general browsing.
It won't make file downloading or streaming video/audio faster, though. Plus,
you lose some image quality.

我发现过。但是下载呀什么的还是得直接搞。

Not true. Video streaming can be improved a lot if your VPN has a faster
connection. I had that experience before when using a .edu VPN.

do you have to use remotedesktop, since already have VPN
