家里楼下装一个，楼上装一个。能同时工作上网吗？

as long as you have 2 phone line and pay twice monthly fee

我只有一个电话号码。我是说两个电话接头分别接到两个DSL modem里，他们不就都受到
网络信号了吗？我刚从朋友那得到了个一样的DSL modem. I don't pay double monthly
fee.

You can't make the two modems work simultaneously. Either of them won't work
unless you unplug the other from the jack, not just turning off the other
modem.
If you hate to see a cable lying out there, use wireless network.
