At home? you need to have a broadband connection. With that ready, you will
get a (DSL or cable) modem box with ethernet port. Buy a wireless access point
and connect the two boxes by ethernet cable. Then you are all set.
Most probably your neighbours have already installed some wireless access
points. If you can search (use your laptop, not your eyes or nose) and find
some wireless network(s) without password protection, you got yourself free
Internet surfing, not so legal though.
