Roth IRA is a very smart investment decision even for F-1 students.
To anyone: If
1) you plan to stay in the US permanently (not crucial condition),
2) you don't want to work till the last minute of your life (which means you
want to retire some day),
3) you have normal income (e.g. a TA/RA) or have extra after 401k if you work;
and 4) have ext
