我觉得head first系列对初学者不错，很容易看懂，但是也有点深度。去amazon book
上search head first jsp/servlet, head first ejb, etc.入门之后可以看看java.
sun.com上的分项的tutorial, 我觉得他的JNDI, RMI的教程都写的很不错，有点深入浅
出的意思。注意，不是那本1400多页的The J2EE Tutorial, 那本书参考一下还可以，
当教程会看的你想自杀。
等把这些都看了之后，你自己也就知道该继续看什么了。

head first series are really fatastic books as the start point. in actions
series are really good books for knowing all the popular frameworks, they
are usally written by the project founders. but if you really want to deeply
understand how these frameworks work and what they can offer to you, you
should read GOF, a design pattern books by Martin Fowler, and a couple of "
expert to expert.." book by Rod Johnson first. Also a good reflection book
is always helpful.

javaranch really started by authors of head first series. They are still
around to answer questions sometimes.
It is true there are more indian guys there. but the folks there really come
around the world. As I can tell, there are not many "bartenders" or "
sheriffs" coming from india. Usually, they are very experienced.

Most top rated programming books on Amazon can be found on emule.
You didn't try. At least many books of in action series and pro series
can be found.

Go to spring website. There is a pet demo.
Try to run the demo. It will help you a lot.
My suggestion is to read the reference if you have Java experience. No book
will be better than this.
