You probably have the default short-cut key ctlr+space taken by another
program,
like chinese input. Either bind it to another key, or change your shortcut
of the other program.

I meant when you hit a dot ".",
the associated methods should be prompted.

auto-activation is enabled for .
but not working ...

it doesn't work for all projects.
used to work,
don't know when it stopped prompting.
now i have to F3 into the class to look for the method,
very inconvenient.

it may be specific to MyEclipse.
Must be some settings.
Eclipse only seems to be fine.
Sigh,
