Another way is to use a servlet to generate an image. In your html page, use
an image tag

to convert the image object to output stream pipe.Here is the code snippet.
Just a references. Look up the details to suit your needs.

Google JFreeChart, you may use it as applet or application;

jimi is too old and not supported long time ago. In JDK 1.4, there is a new
package supproting generating png files. Forget about GIF since it is still
patented.

Is there anyway to generate ps file? For example, I want the graph on my
JFrame saved as a ps file.

I don't know. But, these are two different kind of animals: one is pixel graph,
another is vector graphy

the one I am asking is kinda different. I use java 2d/3d to draw graph, using
something like drawline, drawoval, etc, sounds like vector-drawing.
