I emailed him after the on-site saying that I have another opportunity and
hope they can accelerate the decision maiking proecess. Here is his email:
"I totally understand your situation. Your case is being considered, but it
will take more time because of discussions at different levels in the
department and college."
Any solid information from this ?

和我之前一家问的差不多，没办法，不是top choice,只能等，然后过了一个月，来了
据信，不过这只是我个人的经历，仅供参考。

The interview finished one week ago.
do u think they are considering other top candidates?

when I met with the chair, he told me in face that he liked my research and
will try to hire me. He has some "muscles" in the department and hopefully
he can convince other search committee members. Now it has been one week.
Seems he changed his mind, or too many faculty against me so it did not work
out?

他们不会是有hash直接找该人有否被面试吧，塞！不过我觉得一个可能要认真看看简历
，公司一般都是hr先screen，找关键字，没找到关键字的可能就直接不理了。所以不妨
简历中加上他们感兴趣的关键字比如C++之类，另外会不会因为是non-cs的原因？主要
问题应该在简历上，除了上面的hash问题外。

才一周,估计search committee会议还没有开.根据email,很可能committee讨论完,还要
全系讨论,再等几周吧.祝好运!

他们的HR脑子就是一hsh table...太可怕了.
我上次面试他们家面挂了,过了几个月不死心job fair上又去投了一次简历,结果那个HR
一扫我简历就说,你是不是申请过,我的简历已距上次已经改了不少了.当时只好说几个
月前被据了.他们说一般被据半年之内同一职位不会再要你了.
