Position: Senior Server Developer
Location: New York, NY
Organization Description: Electronic Trading, FXLM tech, Global Markets
Technology.
Background
Our FX Technology is seeking a senior C# server developer to join a team of
developers working with the latest in distributed enterprise application
technologies, to help extend and reshape the next generation of our FX
electronic trading platform. As a senior server developer, the ideal
candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of key
components and will participate in all phases of development of our mission-
critical trading applications.
We are an electronic trading technology team, currently working on the FX
order book and trading platform servicing hundreds of users globally. The
team is within the FXLM technology division inside Global Markets Technology
. As a member of the team the candidate will have the opportunity to work
with highly motivated and skilled team members, and work closely with
related business representatives in a fast paced environment dedicated to
delivering business value and to enhancing our competitive edge.
Principal responsibilities
* Extend our next generation Our FX OMS orderbook system, building
core new functions, replacing legacy services, and re-shaping the messaging
infrastructure in both server2server and server2client communications.
* Work with the GUI team to realize flow interaction, and
communication interfaces.
* Design and implement core supporting C# .net, C++, Java services
using best practices.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team.
* Participate in all phases of application development.
Key Relationships
* Close interaction with the business users.
* Work with the GUI teams for flow definition, integration and testing.
* Develop a close working relationship with QA to deliver robust
software.
* Also work with diverse teams from front and back-office groups to
integrate their products
Job Qualifications
Experience:
* Required: 5+ years of experience in developing and supporting
distributed C# .net server side applications.
* Demonstrable experience in handling production systems.
* Required: Strong grasp of fundamental computer science concepts:
data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and object oriented design
* Required: Bachelor degree in computer science or related fields.
* Required: at least 2 years experience working in the financial
industry
* Nice to have: Working knowledge of C# .net GUI and Java server side
experience a big plus.
* Nice to have: relevant experience with trade capture and processing.
* Nice to have: knowledge of fixed income instruments, especially FX.
Technical:
* Proficient in core C# .net development
* Experience working with databases/stored procedures;scripting
knowledge in Windows environment
* Nice to have: FIX protocol, Socket's API, middlewares such as Tibco
EMS, Tibco RV.
Personal:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent problem
solving and troubleshooting skills; Team player; Ability to work in a
demanding and fast paced environment. Enthusiastic, highly motivated and
detail-oriented individual; Ability to pick up new concepts and apply the
knowledge.
