和一个senior合作, 韩国人，他主动找的我做co PI。只告诉我，我该写那一块。我写
完了，发给他。他改完了我的那部分发给我，然后我说你的final版本能不能提交前发
我一份。
他回复是：I am afraid to say that I don’t share my proposal with others due
to a bad experience. Why don’t you stop by to discuss some idea when you
are around.
他funding不少，我也不缺他的这个米下锅。之前合作文章，实验倒也正常。
大家怎么看？我tenure没问题，和这个无关。

现骑驴找马，天天心惊胆战，公司太小，害怕现老板发现。请问大家，上班期间如果有
面试机会，都是以什么借口去面试的啊？如果面试公司要做背景调查，会不会联系现在
的老板？总是觉得还没有找到合适的，也不确定拿到OFFER，如果这样被老板知道了不
太好啊。大家都是怎么办的啊。谢谢了。

非常不professional，发文章写proposal投摘要，都是要所有人approve的，毕竟是你
endorse的，万一它里边写了要把人送上火星，到时候做不成岂不是你也有份。
解决方案是建议你在篮球场上单挑他，输了就得交出proposal，最好是你转身360胯下
换手in他face，不过要小心有些球场老大爷都很牛的

我也碰到过这种情况，有点不爽，但也没太拿当回事，因为对我也没啥影响。我的原则
是，别人怎么对待我，下回我就怎么对待他。

这种人你跟他死抠他也不会给你full proposal的，就算遇人不淑了，move on 吧，下
次不要理他就是了。另外警告一下你的其他同事，这种“美名”要让它远传一点.

那美国的大公司呢？他们的背景调查是雇外面其它的公司做的，

既然决定跟人合作，就要信任别人。至于他之前信错了人，那是他的事，不能用来作为
理由不professional地对待你。出来混，就像搞投资，不能要求只赚不赔；他之前信错
了人，就请他以后学会看人准些。学不会，或者怕吃亏，就自己单干。不妨跟他说，你
也有过"bad experience"，人家没给你看，把你坑了，看他怎么讲？
我和人交往的原则是，有难处，我尽最大能力帮你；不讲理乱来的话，那就谁也不欠谁
好了。

Don't worry about that if you just started the jobhunting process.
Background check only starts after you get the offer, and only
after you fill in a form to authorize them to perform the checking,
in which you can specifically ask them not to contact any previous
employer. Current employer will not be contacted by default.

连full proposal都不给看，要是他在proposal里乱说呢？你名誉受损啊。你可以说
因为这个concern，退出。
不给看budget的倒是经历过。。我不在意。

thx, but i just got an onsite interview, going there tomorrow, but hr
already sent me a release form, to authorize them to do my background check,
they ask me to fill that out and bring them with me for the interview.

我见过不主动给的。但是如果要都不给我不会参加，有liability的问题。

They will do background check after they decide to give you offer. They have
to pay the third party company to do it.

I know some HR people try to get you sign the release form earlier on.
Just ignore that and when you are on-site, politely tell them that you are
still collecting the contact info etc and will give them the form before
the next stage.

不share也叫合作？它可以看你的资料，你不能看他的资料，靠，这个买卖你折本大发
了。
你得好好找他聊聊，说将来不会为没见过的申请书签字负责。

很多senior的人都不喜欢share。大牛你还是忍忍吧。拿到钱比啥都强。要是不咋地的人
，爱谁谁。
