6 years limits of H1b# JobHunting - 待字闺中

I would like to ask a question here. I cannot type Chinese while working.
Sorry about this.
Situation:
My H1b has been three and half years. Currently I am working as a contractor
or say consultant. I am looking for permanent job (laid off last year) and
focus on academic jobs, schools/hospitals, staff posiiton,not faculty.
Recently, I heard of that most schools/hospitals do not sponsor GC process
for staff positions.
My question is: if I got a job in academia that does not sponsor GC
application and but sponsor H1b, can I apply a completely new H1b, which I
can work for another 6 years?
If I have more time, then I will have more chances, such as go NIW etc.
The recruiter from my consulting company told me that they can do 'not to
revoke my H1b for some time after I leave' as maybe I can still have a part-
time and remote job later with them.
As many said, I also really suffered and struggled with the visa status. Sad
.
