看到Tenure的那个帖子突然想问问这个。
我现在还有一年多毕业，已经发了几篇文章。还有很多零零碎碎的结果，估计投二档的
期刊是肯定没什么问题的。但我导师一直都投最好的那种，所以可能觉得零碎的成果不
太想发。
另一个帖子里Highly大神说找工作的时候单独发的文章才算数，我在想要不要先抽空闲
时间把这些零碎的结果写完，等到快毕业告诉导师，然后当做自己发的文章。大家觉得
这样子可行吗？

Position Title: Operations Research Scientist
Responsibilities:
• With an understanding and knowledge of applicable business
systems and industry requirements, in conjunction with proficient
knowledge
in Operations Research techniques, this position is responsible for
developing and devising advanced decision technologies, analytical
methods
and tools for corporate financial services management, planning and
optimization.
• With minimal direction, this position reviews and recommends
changes to existing business analysis procedures and methods by
incorporating Operations Research techniques.
• Provide expert perspective on modeling approach, technique and
tools in resolving the business problem.
• Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge and
currency via self research and by attending conferences, workshops and
training, reviewing journal publications, establishing personal
networks,
and participating in professional societies.
• Research latest technique and tools to continuously enhance the
discipline.
Qualification/Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, Statistics
, Mathematics, Management Science or other management/quantitative
discipline required.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in mathematical/statistical
model buildings, with financial services experience preferred.
• Required mathematical/statistical skills include regression
analysis (linear, logistic, parametric), survival models, forecasting
models
, factor/component analysis, optimization (linear, integer, mixed-
integer,
quadratic, combinatorial programming), decision trees, segmentation and
cluster analysis, and pattern recognition.
• Proficient programming skills in SAS or Matlab.
• Proficient programming skills in C++, C#, or Java.
• Experience in using optimization solver libraries with AMPL, C++,
C# or Java.
• Knowledge of statistical software (SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS
Enterprise Miner, JMP or SPSS) and SQL Server.
• Team player.

能提出这样的问题，说明你做科研还没有入门，或者是入错了门

我很真诚的请教这个问题，你从何得到这个结论？且不说我博士的学校一定比您要好，
直接网上这么嘲弄是真的没意思

OK多谢指点。那还不错，现在的几篇都是我一作加通讯，导师挂个名在后面。
我主要心里还是想着什么时候能发一篇单独作者的文章。我导师就有一篇citation超过
一千的单独作者文章，也属于毕业几年之后发的

有条件做一流的工作，为什么要发零碎的结果？
零碎的结果看起来是不费事，但等你真整理成文章，修改，投稿，之后评审意见回来，
再修改，再投稿，这一系列是花很多时间的，而且不增加你的scientific
contribution。
有这个时间，不如去好好做做一流的问题，有影响的问题。
已经决定放在一边的零碎问题，其实没什么必要再去弄它。要aim高一点。
以后你带学生的时候，如果学生不是很出色，可以把这些给他们来完善。

我博士的学校不一定比你好，但是我从不降低对自己的要求。
我坚持做一流的科研，发一流的文章，不屑于发二流文章。
你博士学校这么好，学校不会提倡你们用数量评价科研吧？
没有核心技术，数文章有什么用？芯片事件不就是一个好的例子吗？
如果你真的把心思放在发二流文章上，警惕，你科研走错门了。
