如果HR问你这个问题的话，你最好不要说。让她先定个价，然后再negotiate. 以前的经验是，Amazon不太看重PhD学位，跟master差别不大。微软涨工资他们似乎也没跟着涨，所以我觉得，只是觉得啊，可能没有楼上说的那个数。他们家的特点是sign-on bonus比较高，呵呵，另外股票比微软值钱。

本科，十年工作经验吧，被amazon骚扰无数回终于去interview了。话说回来amazon简
直就是spam啊，垃圾HR无数。
原来作PM，去amazon还作PM，所以他不太想去。不过70K sign on, 150K base，就没骨
气啦。

明天HR打电话过来， 估计说的就是这个， 可俺是两眼一抹黑， 也没工夫做research,
都不知道自己读这么多年书， 会值多少钱....

btw2: Amazon在扩招吗？ 上次on-site根本就没hold住， 还给了个offer (到现在为止

股票就是他会给你一些RSU, 分四年vest. 每年拿1/4. 他给你的股数x股价/4基本就是
你每年能拿的钱。Amazon应该以后每年都还会配股，因为他们没有target bonus.

yes. this is reasonable. Unlike google, they don't offer much more for phd
than master.

钱都不重要， 你老板好不好， 对你好不好最重要。 你去了一呆就知道了。 至于钱的
问题 上下也不多就是几千块钱， 交完税也没差那么多。

Well, I happen to think money is the most important, because it is the only
thing that doesn't lie. How do you know whether your boss will treat you
well? If you can tell that from one day interview, then you don't need to work for anybody.
Working is different than doing a PhD. You don't commit. If you aren't happy
, you take your experience and leave. You then can have a higher starting
point if you started higher, even for a couple thousand dollars.

I even did not try to negotiate. I do not think it makes any difference.
It is just a good starting point, but not the end anyways :)

30k sign-on bonus is their norm. Sign-on is a one time thing anyways, so I
don't think that 5k makes a big difference. The most important thing is how
much money you get regularly for one year when you look for another job.
They usually don't ask about sign-on bonus.
It is a good offer and good luck.

don't think that 5k makes a big difference. The most important thing is how
