现在正在opt期间，暑假就要过期，打算申请opt extension，但是由于我的专业在i２
０和diploma上写的是public health（其实我是biostatistics），所以有可能会被拒。
假如被拒了，我估计只能申请转h４，想问问，这个身份短期内转两次，会不会有什么
问题？假如opt extension时我的原有opt已经过期，我是不是就没有合法身份，还来得
及转h４吗？转h４会不会说我身份失效，也被拒呢？
如果风险太大，我打算直接opt过期前申请h４算了。

You should contact OISS of your school. Request them to change your field of
study from public health to biostatistics. Show OISS your transcript,
thesis, etc, anything that can prove your specific field of study is
biostatistics. Generally, OISS is willing to help student in this way. They
may request your advisor/program manager to write a letter to support, then
they will change your I20. I don't think diploma matters for OPT extension
application.

谢谢你的回复，正在和ois交涉过程中，同时我也悲催的发现，我的所有官方document
上都是写的我的专业是public health （concentrate in biostatistics），我这么多
年都一直没发现，一直以为我就是biostatistics专业。所以，opt extension申请结果
还真不好说。
我现在的主要担心问题是，如果opt extension被拒的话，再申请h4有没有问题，比如
说，我知道被拒的时候，现有opt已经过期，我是不是就没有身份了，得立即回国了，
还可以再递交h4的申请吗？
