学校给我办的H1B快3个月以前就交到USCIS了， receipt也收到了，但现在还是pending
，但OPT马上过期了，似乎那个"Cap Gap Extension"也不能用到学校这种cap-exempt
的H1B上。那OPT过期了还能继续呆在美国(60天grace peiod?)，或者继续工作吗？谢

you have PP option, and can work immediately after approval before Oct 1.(
because there no need waiting for new fiscal year Oct 1 to start)

谢谢回复。已经PP了，但可能还是会来不及在OPT expire前收到approval...

PP at most takes 15 days. You are legal to stay. If you don't want to have
even one day of illegal work, you should ask the payroll to stop during the
several days gap. And keep that off-payroll proof for record to prove in the
future that you did not have unauthorized work day.
