Quick summary:
It is a less senior position, so 3-5 years C++ coding experience in Unix env
and MS/PhD in CS should be good
Desired skills:
• 3 years or more experience in C/C++ software development.
• 3 years or more experience in managing commercial Linux systems in
an enterprise or research environment, i.e. SLES, RHEL
• 3 years or more experience in handling and managing modern mid-range
or above x86_64 or RISC-based servers
• 2 years or more experience in supporting multi TB commercial storage
arrays, familiar with storage products, raid controllers, and various drive
technologies.
• 2 years or more experience supporting network or cluster file
protocols such as NFS or GFS
• 2 years or more experience in parallel or multi-threaded programming
• Must be able to program in a shell language. Must be able to perform
compilation/make tasks.
2. System Product Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on technical individual to
support our state of the art Tachyon system product. This position will be
in our System PEG (Product Engineering Group) organization. The Product
Engineering group is responsible for performance evaluation of high
performance computing in large clusters, new customer engagements, Product
Definition (PRD), second-line support of current accounts, release testing
with acceptance tests, and training (internal / external). The team works
closely with software developers, marketing, sales, operations, SQA, other
PEG teams, and customers; therefore this job provides a broad exposure to
whole pictures of different products. PEG engineers play a key role in
shaping and directing product growth and development. This job also provides
excellent career development opportunities thanks to its wide work scope.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or
Mathematical Engineering preferred
• Linux OS system administration knowledge is desired
• Cluster computer hardware/firmware/network knowledge is desired
• Programming skills with script languages, e.g., PERL, Unix shell
scripts, is desired
• Knowledge/experiences of cluster resource management tools (e.g.,
LSF, SGE) are desired
• Intermediate software programming skills in C/C++.
• Ability to work independently and also effectively as a member of a
team
• Customer support skills and occasionally overseas travel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and innovative thinking skills
• Quick learner and flexibility are key attributes
• Direct or indirect experience in OPC (Optical Proximity Correction),
including lithography simulation, RET, or advanced mask technology is a
plus
• Experience in lithography or related fields is a plus
• Occasional international travel may be required.
