Although I am still in interviewing provess with other tech-Giants, I am not
sure whether I can get any offer from them with my current coding
proficiency. I am currently a master student in CS, graduating next year.
I am currently holding two offers:
1. VMware, DRS (Dynamic Resources Scheduling) team. will work on storage
performance optimization.
base: between 100k and 105k
sign on bouns: 20k
relocation 10k
RSU 63k
2. Oracle, ZFS team. will probably work on storage appliance.
base: between 100k and 110k, do not know exact value now
sign on bonus: 10k
relocation 7k
RSU 20k
I would like to have you guys' opinion on which one is better if I failed
all my incoming interviews? I would focus more on career development at this
point since I am a new grad.

should be RSU. I did my summer intern at VMware, so bonus is 5k higher.

对于将来发展呢，这两个组都是做infrustructure heavy的东西的。不知道这样的前景

以后做存储的话，这两个都不错吧，感觉还是看你的兴趣，很多人对appliance更感兴趣
另外，你是主动跟Oracle要的股票吗，因为一般只听说oracle有option，没有股票的

2W的股票，难道现在O家的标准package变了？不知道是不是跟组有关
VMware貌似给的比Oracle高很多，也是云计算/存储方面的大公司，为啥不选呢
