Job summary Develop manage and implement technology solutions in support of
the Fixed Income Groups investment process and operational strategy
initiatives These efforts include but are not limited to overseeing the
development and integration of portfolio trading and risk management
technology supporting research technology requirements utilizing internally
developed applications as well as integrated vendor research systems
solutions assisting in the coordination and implementation of our internal
and external portfolio reporting efforts and managing development teams in
the production of key analytic applications Technical experience in
developing prototype solutions is a preferred skill set Job responsibilities
Portfolio Management Research Technology Support investment teams in their
utilization of Risk InSite the firms proprietary portfolio exposure analysis
and risk assessment system Provide analysis and functional specification
for enhancements to Risk InSite providing for the extension of the systems
usage across the firm Direct the design and assist in the development of
custom risk reports for investment teams leveraging Risk InSites batch
reporting capabilities Assist investment teams in the development of
efficient and consistent reports and analysis tools for the communication of
portfolio information within the teams as well as externally to clients
Coordinate the design development and integration of analysis tools and
research notes for the Fixed Income Research group Quantitative Research
Support Support the Quantitative Research group in the areas of Portfolio
Attribution and Risk Analysis Coordinate the production development and
integration of models prototyped within the Quantitative Research Group with
the Quantitative Analysts Manage development teams through the design
development testing production release and production support of proprietary
research tools Operations Technology Work closely with the Operations
Technology group coordinating critical development efforts for the Fixed
Income group related to the accounting treatment of instruments and client
reporting efforts Supervise the development of necessary trading pricing and
reporting capabilities to support derivatives trading Coordinate the
development implementation and testing of various vendor benchmarks mandated
by client guidelines Assist in the analysis and implementation of
operational efficiencies and best practice procedures for Trading operations
including designing and managing the development of necessary technology
tools New Product Development Work closely with the RFP group and client
intake teams to provide support and information required for the development
of new product strategies Manage the development of necessary client
reporting to support the launch and successful implementation of new product
strategies Collaborate with Portfolio Management Research Trading and
Compliance to design and develop critical analysis tools and applications
required to support the investment process Work with the operations group to
coordinate the successful testing of trading and settlement of new
investment vehicles Oversee the development of necessary reporting to
support the Operations group Requirements Undergraduate degree and a minimum
8 years experience in business management and technology development for
financial services Preference given to individual with a MBA andor CFA
Experience leading critical large scale technology projects involving
multiple areas of the asset management business Experience managing
development teams in the design development testing and support of broadly
utilized production applications Subject matter expertise related to the
varied instruments utilized in Fixed Income portfolio strategies
specifically the utilization of derivatives Strong technological capability
Strong relational database knowledge experience with SQL Excel or Access
Prototype Development Proven ability to work with all levels of management
utilizing strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach Strong
communications skills including the ability to translate technical concepts
to nontechnical individuals fixed income
