Job Description
Do you want to work on a mission critical Amazon service that uses cutting-
edge machine learning technologies and is vital to Amazon’s Retail, Kindle,
AWS and Marketplace businesses? Do you want to take this to the next level
and turn this into an external service? The Transaction Risk Management
Services (TRMS) team is responsible for making Amazon the safest and most
trusted place to transact online. We are launching a new product offering
and looking for skilled software engineers to be “founding” members of
this new service and business. Come help us define the architecture and
deliver the first version of this new service. This is a tremendous
opportunity to innovate, make a big impact on online transaction safety and
take your skills to the next level. You'll learn about machine learning
techniques, cloud computing and how to develop highly available distributed
systems at Internet scale.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years software development experience in Java, C++ or C#.
* Experience building distributed systems and web services.
* Demonstrated ability to own and deliver projects of increasing technical
complexity.
Preferred Qualifications
* A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
* Experience turning business requirements into simple solutions
* Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby.
* Experience working in an Agile software development organization.
* Passion for building highly scalable systems in a fast paced, team-
oriented environment.
* Demonstrated ability to own and deliver projects of increasing technical
complexity.
