My friends and I like this book because it contains more quality problems ( problems you may encounter at onsite interview at top companies) compared with careercup. The side effects of that are it is hard to solve by yourself at the beginning since those are harder questions. Another thing is that it is mostly in C++ so people who focus on Java may not like it but I think it is a small deal. My friend has written emails to the authors about some questions and got reply pretty soon, and they are really welcome (one of the authors seems like a Chinese btw).

yes, one of the authors is from Taiwan. I have this book and have read some chapters. I'd say it's pretty good. Since my main language is C++, it serves me well. BTW, the authors use a lot of C++11 syntax which makes me feel they are still learning :-)
yourself it it

I also read this book for a while, IMHO this is the best book I have ever read. It is interesting to see authors are using C++11 in the book which also gives me a chance to learn the new features of C++.
